Virtual Competition: A participant’s age is determined by the age he/she is on the closing date of the competition.
Live Competition: A participant’s age is determined by the age he/she was on January 1st, the year of the competition, which may differ from the actual age on the day of the competition.
An Ensemble age division is determined by the average age of all active participants in the ensemble. An ensemble participant is considered to be active when dancing in at least 75% of the performance. “Human Props” will not be calculated towards the average age.
The Duet and Trio age division is determined by the eldest participant/member of the duet or trio.
In the event that there are insufficient entries for any age division, CDC may combine two age divisions.
